ആലപ്പുഴ വീയപുരം സ്വദേശി സച്ചിന്‍ റോയ്മാത്യുവെന്ന ചെറുപ്പക്കാരന്റെ മരണം വേണ്ടിവന്നു കേരളത്തിലെ ആരോഗ്യവകുപ്പിന് ഒന്നുണര്‍ന്നെണീക്കാന്‍. തിരുവനന്തപുരം വഴുതക്കാട്ടെ സല്‍വ കഫേയില്‍ നിന്ന് ഷവര്‍മ കഴിച്ചതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്നുണ്ടായ ഭക്ഷ്യവിഷബാധയാലാണ് സച്ചിന്‍ മരിച്ചതെന്ന് കണ്ടെത്തിയതോടെയാണ് ഹോട്ടലുകളിലെ അനാരോഗ്യകരമായ സാഹചര്യങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ച് അധികൃതര്‍ക്കും ജനത്തിനും പെട്ടെന്ന് ബോധോദയമുണ്ടായത്. നാടെങ്ങുമുള്ള ഹോട്ടലുകളില്‍ ഇപ്പോള്‍ റെയ്ഡുകള്‍ പൊടിപൊടിക്കുകയാണ്. ഇതെഴുതുമ്പോള്‍ ആയിരത്തിലധികം ഹോട്ടലുകളിള്‍ റെയ്ഡ് നടന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞു. 14 ഹോട്ടലുകള്‍ പൂട്ടി. 283 ഹോട്ടലുകള്‍ക്ക് നോട്ടീസ് നല്‍കി. എറണാകുളം ജില്ലയില്‍ രണ്ടാഴ്ചത്തേക്ക് ഷവര്‍മയും ബദാം ഷെയ്ക്കും നിരോധിച്ചു.
