Dr. George Thayil is one of the most recognized and respected Cardiologists in Kerala. Dr Thayil is the Founder head of the Dept. of Cardiology at Lourdes Hospital, a 750 bedded tertiary care referral hospital situated at the heart of the city of Cochin. Dr. Thayil received his medical degree, post graduation and doctorate from the Ludwig-Maximilian University in Munich, Germany, and later trained as a Cardiologist in Austria at the National Specialty Board. He is also Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Thayil was working as Staff cardiologist at German Heart centre, Munich, before returning to India in 1993 to establish the Cardiology Dept. at Lourdes Hospital, which now offers state-of-the-art health care to the heart patients. for more details click here
